Among the company's customers were some of the largest original equipment manufacturers in the motorcycle industry: Yamaha, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, Maico and Hodaka. The first products manufactured were for the aerospace industry, a lot of intricate parts for the aerospace-machine parts. We started as a machine shop, and there was an airport across the street named "Skyway." At that time, Chuck Raudman thought, "ah, that's a cool name-Skyway," and that's how we got our name.
